Thank you for your understanding.

The Voie Verte and the Véloroute link Paray-le-Monial to Cronat via Bourbon-Lancy.

  • The Voie Verte is a recognised tourist label: it is a family-friendly, walking tool for cyclos, hikers and rollerbladers. It now links Paray-le-Monial to Cronat and is part of 3 networks:the Saône-et-Loirienne departmental greenway, the EuroVélo 6 – Nantes-Budapest and the Tour de Bourgogne by bicycle.
  • For the link between Digoin and Gilly-sur-Loire, there are two solutions: the Voie Verte which runs along the canal on the Allier side through Diou or the Véloroute which passes through Les Guerreaux to then join the Voie Verte from Gilly sur Loire to Bourbon-Lancy.
  • The link between Bourbon-Lancy and Cronat is labelled as a Véloroute. Good signage is in place with markings and the small roads chosen represent a passage of less than 200 vehicles per day.

The Municipality has decided to ensure the connection between the city centre – leisure centre – greenway, with a fully secure route that passes through the old Fourneau station, along the Breuil water body and through the Puzenat Park.

La Grande Traversée du Massif Central (GTMC)

In 2018, the Grande Traversée du Massif Central à VTT is reborn and offers you a route of almost 1400 km. From the mountains and lakes of the Morvan, set off towards the splendid yet little-known landscapes of the Massif Central, climb the volcanoes of Auvergne, cross the Cévennes National Park and the immense plateaus of the Grands Causses before reaching the beaches of the Mediterranean!

The Grande Traversée du Massif Central is a must for mountain bikers. Starting from the town of Avallon, it ends its course at Cap d’Agde.

The Community of Communes “Entre Arroux, Loire et Somme” is an integral part of this national project with 11 of the 30 communes concerned by this project. (Bourbon-Lancy, Chalmoux, Mont, Maltat, Grury, Sainte Radegonde, Issy l’Evêque, Cuzy, Montmort, Toulon sur Arroux and Uxeau).

The aim of this project is to adapt this route to electrically assisted mountain bikes (EABT) in order to widen the target group to include women and families, and finally to be identified as the 1st European route that can be entirely ridden by this soft mode of transport.

An invitation to a real trip on a mountain bike or electrically assisted mountain bike on paths and tracks to share with friends, family or solo.
